Overview
The Huntly Nordic Ski Club was founded in October 1998 by a group of individuals who have been involved with Nordic skiing in Aberdeenshire for a number of years.
The Club is interested in all forms of Nordic skiing: track, racing, touring, telemark and roller skiing. We aim to cater for both novice and the more experienced skier and are particularly keen to involve families.
The Club Constitution states as its main objectives: to promote all forms of Nordic skiing; to associate and where appropriate affiliate with regional and national sporting bodies; to associate with other Nordic ski clubs and groups; assist and advise members on the improvement of personal performance.
The Club is closely involved with the Huntly Nordic & Outdoor Centre in promoting Nordic skiing and assisting each other wherever possible. For example, we jointly run the highly successful Junior Development Squad & many of our younger skiers have gone onto the GB Junior Cross Country Ski Squad.
The Club also works closely with other bodies such as Aberdeenshire Council & the Forestry Commission in for example maintaining & improving the Clashindarroch Forest Trails.

This is excellent work and keeps the website fresh. Great new look.
Can you look to have weather report in the winter? This can be taken off the metoffice – link and when we get out webcam going – views from the clash!
Who do we make checks out to?
—-checks should be made out to Huntly Nordic Ski Club, thanks Alan
I just wanted to congratulate the club on Andrew Musgrave’s performance in the Tour de Ski. Not since Mike Dixon was in his prime have we seen someone who looked like they could take on the best. Hoping for great things in the future from Andy and all your racers.
Congratulations to your alumni, Andrew Musgrave, on his bronze medal in Toblach this past weekend. He edged out our best Canadian, Alex Harvey. Several of us here at Halifax Nordic in Halifax, Nova Scotia (“New Scotland” of course), continue to follow Andy and greatly admire his skiing (especially skate) skills. Best of luck to him in the upcoming Winter Olympics!
Manchester Cross Country Ski Club wants to send you details of our Telemark Festival and I can’t find your email.
